so I don't know why I haven't posted in a while. I guess a long weekend will do that? Saturday was Cora's birthday and we had a big party not really for her, We do a bbq and fireworks and had a ton of people over and it was FUN!! I will post pictures when some one sends me some lol.

It's the morning YAWN!

I really just wanted to stay in bed this morning but once I got up I was too tired to go lay back down lol. We had a lot of excitement int he neighborhood last night. our neighbor had a burning smell in her house... ok should I back up.. like about 5 months? The city came out and was putting in a drain pipe thru the small canal seperating my next door neighbor (north) and her side neighbors. they cut a line while they were digging. Whether they knew it or not is a mystery. ok fasy forward to June we come home from camp to see all these power truck in front of our house and Don talks to them and the other neighbor (South) has lost electricity. I go in the house and half our power is out including our fridge and freezer (downstairs). lovely thank goodness we weren't gone one more day. so they get us all fixed up. now the last couple weeks she said her tv has been flashing on and off. Well her son-in-law comes home today (he had been at the hospital with his new baby boy) and he calls her and says the washer isn't working. then it starts working but is really slow. she comes home and walks down the hall and smells something burning she calls her sister her sister comes over and they go int he bathroom and it is really strong burning rubber/wire smell so they call the fire department. No fire or anything but they call the power company and they come out and get them fixed up. so now everything is working but her micrwavee and Ipod dock :( they are most likely burned up. She feels totally overwelmed because her daughter has had complications with her pregnancy since Tuesday so she has had a long week.
well there was a bunch of us in the driveway standing around and there were also people driving by trying to see what was going on (you know how it is) I said I should have been laying ont he ground shaking around. it would have mede for a great story at church lol.
ok so now on a happy note I came back home and my cousin had posted pictures from monday so I will share a couple and her website. (I hope that's ok) click here to see more!

Happy Pioneer Day!!

Here in Utah we celebrate Pioneer Day. In 1847 the Pioneers walked into this lovely (they didn't think so lol) valley and Brigham Young said "This is the Place!" ok now I do realize it wasn't on the 24th of July but today is the day we celebrate. So it is a big holiday here and Don has to work :( there is abig parade downtown I didn't want to take the kids there. I'm lazy. I blind now and i don't know why. I think I looked in the sun but I don't remember. but I have blotchy eyes blah! so we had pictures taken Monday evening and I am still waiting hummdeedum..... ~jk Gina. I am bored I will write later....


so what do pioneers mean to you... For me it is deep. I always looked up to them respected them. I read "The Work and The Glory" and the "Fire of the Covenant" yearsa go and they both are great pioneer stories. Last year as we treked I also read Handcarts to Zions. and being able to walk in their footsteps has brought a greater sence of their faith. I love to talk and to read about their sacrifices though I can hardly do it with out crying. It is amazing what they did, to be persecuted and thrown out of their homes and left everything they knew and had (including family) fo rour wonderful church. I can only hope if faced with those things I could do the same. ok I know I could but so many were disowned I can't imagine the heartbreak of their families not understanding. :(

but I can't see them when I write so I can'te xplain every picture :( the first one I think is the view from the trailor. we were pretty close to the beach. then a bunch of the kids?? you know who my kids are if you frequently check us out. there is one with another little boy there there was on;y three other kids there :( but my kids can entertain themselves pretty good. umm there is a picture soemwher of the kids digging in two holes-hooked together. Don took his 4-wheeler down there and dug holes lol the kids played in them. the last wait the 5th (I think ) picture is Don's friends wife and their dog Gunner. He loved the jet skis lol

the long weekend is over!

we went away to the Gorge for the weekend. It was nice most the time because the cloud cover made it not so hot! but the last day WHEW it was toasty!!. The lake was cold and I barely got in it! I did get in on Saturday and wash my hair and played witht he kids a while. They practically lived on the beach the whole time! And of course I forget my camera all the time. I did get pic's on Saturday though So I will post those soon and if I can figure out how to post a video I will posting one of those too!
Ok I hate... That when I got married and had kids I became a big ol' chicken!! I HATE IT!!! I am terrified of the water even more now. I mean I used to be but could handle going out on a boat and even tried skiing years ago. We took a boat ride this weekend and I had a deathgrib on Sadie and then Owen came and sat by me and he was trying to jump around so I held onto his life jacket too. BLAH!! I hate it I really do!!
ALso Don kept asking me if I wanted to go out on the jet ski's which I really wanted to do but you know when you have peer pressure. Well I jsut plain refused because him and his friend and a couple other people where totally pressuring me. I know I could enjoy it if I did. anywho I hate being petty. So sorry babe. maybe next year if you don't continue asking every two minutes.
Ok I am outta food "old mother hubbards house" if you ask Don lol. so I'm gonna run to the store and then post pictures later today!

Do you ever feel like everything piles on at once? I feel so completely overwhelmed with life right now. not family, just everything outside my house. It really stinks. And so you walk around a little bummed and everyone asks what's wrong but you really just don't fell like talking about it. I know a few days and things will be better. I just need to make it thru these days and I will be the happy chipper person I usually am. k that's all you're getting from me now.

titles mean nothing

So I am trying to cook a little more using my crockpot.. or crackpot what ever you call it. so I have been really wanting lasagna but I hate to heat up my house so the other day I thought "humm I wonder if I can cook lasagna in the crockpot?) a quick goodsearch (so my mommies forum can get $.02) and there are TONS!! woohoo! I will cooking lasagna int eh crockpot today. YUMMY! so I was thinking just about everything can be cooked in a crockpot. I am jus tnot sure about cooking times. Like how long would a casserole cook? I will have to go check it out...

AAH almost time for bed!!

So I got some motivation!! WOOHOO! I ended up deciding I was going to stay up and work Friday night so Cora and I stayed up till midnight, I ended up making about 6-7 cards! I will post them in the next few days on my other blog!. So we slept in till about 8 and then Don said let's go out for breakfast! YUM! I love breakfast at Golden Corral! lol.
Then off to his grandma's to do some work (not mowing!!) but hey! i took two showers today! And I might take another! Tammy (Don's mom) and I took insulation out of their ceiling ICK! that's was shower two I took one when I got up!
So after my shower we went to Walmart and spent too much (that's walmart for ya hehe) came home bummed around a bit decided I should make lunch even though I was still full from lunch.
I made lunch Don said he was going to go outside and work in his garage so I went and crashed on the couch! Pulle dmy butt off the couch about 4 and went outside to watch the juds ride their 4-wheelers, Owen rolled his. I'll take pick of his elbow if I remember. It isn't too bad. HEY!!! CHILL!! They always were a helmet!
Then decided I should give Sadie a bath and she took one!!! Have I mentioned she HATES baths? She wouldn't sit down but I got her bathed. Then Don jumped int eh shower our babysitters showed up just as he was done getting ready and we went to the Region dance lol yes we were chaperones and it was fun! Thursday one of our neighbor twins said we should be chaps I said Nnah but then Thursday night I found out we needed two from the YW so I volunteered me and Don to go. they about screemed my ears out when they saw us too. lol they were way happy! haha. ok Now I am sitting here (printing off Don's agenda's for tomorrow) and thought I waould stop in and post.! I hope everyone out there is happy and healthy!

It is Wednesday and I am bored so I am surfing blogs. lol I need to go to the store ick! I need bread and scrapbooking stuff hehe. and I am determined to get cards made today! but I have even stuck a toe in that room yet! I need to make one for DOn's gramma since her birthday is tomorrow good thing the mail comes late and hopefully it will make it there tomorrow.. it should. my Bella's are postal and I am anxious to get them! so maybe they can inspire me!
Kids are watching Spongebob. there must be a marathon on or something cuz it has been on all morning. ok I think I am stalling. DANG it!! someone send me some inspiration!! PLEASE!!

uh huh another day...

well it is Tuesday and since I have last posted nothing has been exciting. I am glad that long weekend is over, as I was telling a cousin last night I can totally stay up till 11 but when my kids are still up at 11 it is absolutely exhausting. Sunday was Fast Sunday. On the first Sunday of the month we hast for 2 meals and have a special meeting at church where we share testimonies if we want. Well I actually got up and bore my testimony!! It was amazing! I often say how hard it is to go to church and feel the spirit with kids jumping around on top of you~ it feels more like a one hour sentance lol. Well Don had taken Sadie out and Cora and Owen went out to get a drink and go potty. It is amazing how the spirit can take over when you allow it to.
Friday was the 4th of July and we went tot he park for breakfast and then walked down and went to the parade here in our wee little town. I will post some pic's of my kiddo's! and some friends. Cora painted her shirt and I made the rest of them! We got lots of candy and of course as the flags started tha parade man I am such a baby I always cry!! lol

Happy 4th of July! (tomorrow)

it has been a while there is so much running thru my head but I doubt I will share any of it! fianlly summer is here. happy 4th tomorrow! It should be really hot here I don't know if we will really get out and do anything. We were going to go out tonight but Don decided he wanted to finish a car. I need to make cards. Some times I am so unmotivated!! I just need to lookt rhu some idea books and then I think I would get them done!
it has been a birthday week this week! Tuesday was Khyia's (Don's niece) wednesday was Madalynns (My niece) and today is Jenn Don's sister. Next week is one of his grandma's birthday. I have got a new shelf up in the extra room that I have started to fill with food. I need to go on a diet and make food but it really is soo hot I don't wanna! Well we are all alive and kickin! just wanted to check in!
